jh:I know, I know, this review is about 4 years behind schedule. Probably two thirds of my male friends have owned this album since high school, so I'd heard it and knew it was good. Somehow I just couldn't bring myself to buy it when "The Middle" was getting 2 hours of airtime per day on every radio station in the universe. At last I broke down and asked for this CD for Christmas, and it's good, and I like it a lot. At worst the lyrics are a little repetitive - not from one song to the next, but several of the songs are a couple 3 sentence verses and then a bridge or chorus 6 times over. This is a picky thing to point out, and rather than ruin the disc it only bumps it down from maybe the 8th best rock CD I've ever heard to, say, number 14. The music is great, the vocals are good and a lot of fun to sing along with, and if you like modern rock you'll probably like Jimmy Eat World.
