Stage left, see an old list of my favorites. I should update it sometime, and I might! But until then, I'll probably just add recommendations to this page linked straight to IMDB. There's only so much you can say beyond "I liked this. See it." If you agree with the old recommendations you can probably rely on the new ones, right? Hopefully.
Ratings have been a source of frustration, because I'm only posting reviews for movies I like - which means the bottom couple points on the standard five-point scale never get used. As such, at some point I decided to start writing reviews without the ratings. So some of them have ratings and some don't. How's that for a method? My reviews are prefaced with a jh, and my friend jc's contributions start with.... jc.
