The Newsboys are: John James, Peter Furler, Jody Davis, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein, Philip Urry
jh: I've only got one of their CDs and no cheesy story to go along with it, so there's not much extra for me to say about The Newsboys. Except that I've listened to a couple of their other CDs, and didn't like those nearly as much as this one.

jh: Such a fun CD. "Breakfast" may be in the top five Catchiest Songs of All Time, but somehow it never gets annoying. The Newsboys did well when they put this album together; while it's got a low point in the middle it's not really low and the high points are very good. "Lost The Plot" is one of those songs I didn't notice at first and would skip...but one day I listened to it clear through and now I wonder how I ever disliked it. It is one of the most true and most meaningful songs I've heard, not to mention it sneaks up on you slow before rocking your socks right off. "Breathe" and "God Is Not A Secret" are wonderfully noisy alternative rock songs and the rest of the disc is imperfect but likeably so. Get Take Me To Your Leader if you like alternative rock and especially if you like older Relient K CDs.
