I never would have seen this movie if mom hadn't rented it one weekend I was home. I don't know how they should have packaged it better, but the front cover (and the title) make it look like an irritating Disney film about rascally old men at the circus. It's not, and it's funny, and I liked Secondhand Lions a lot. My parents and sisters liked it, too, and so did my grandparents. This movie is an entertaining story about growing up and living life to the fullest and shooting at traveling salesmen. There are also quite a few action flashbacks that are surprisingly good. Unless you've got a shrunken grinch-heart, you probably will enjoy Secondhand Lions. Nothing spectacular but it's heartwarming and wholesome without being super cheesy, and that's hard to do. 3 1/2 of 5 points for goodness, laughs, and decent action sequences.
